Why you should recycle

The city of Edinburgh council urges people to recycle their food waste. Everyone can order a free bin for food waste which is collected from the kerb side or from the communal bins once a week.

They highlight the importance of recycling food waste even if people do not believe they make a large amount. Having a bin dedicated to food waste makes it clear the amount one throws away, thereby making it easier to be aware of how to reduce it.
